There are numerous types of bushings using in the manufacture of a vehicle. Some of the more common bushing types are: 

Control Arm - control arm bushings provide a pivot point from the control arm during suspension travel and maintain the lateral and vertical location of the control arm pivot points. 

Stabilizer Bar Frame stabilizer bar bushings provide direct transmission of force from the sway bar to the body of the vehicle. 

Rack & Pinion Mount rack and pinion mount bushings insulate road noise from the cabin of the vehicle and create a firm mounting point for the vehicle’s steering system
